Korean Ground Beef Stir Fry

Hearty, delicious, and simple is the name of this stir fry game! We use classic Korean sauces and seasonings and a couple of new blends that are perfect for this dish!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste (or chopped garlic)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste (or minced ginger)
  • 1 tablespoon Korean Chili Salt (optional - can sub in 1 teaspoon gochugaru instead)
  • 1 teaspoon Seoul BBQ Salt (optional, but amazing)
  • 3 tablespoons Korean sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Korean Red Chili Paste (Gochujang)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Place the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and ginger paste. Season with the Chili Salt and Seoul BBQ Salt, if using. Or the applicable substitutions.
  2. Brown the meat, breaking up into small pieces as it cooks.
  3. Drain off the excess fat.
  4. Add in the soy sauces, chili paste, and sesame oil.
  5. Let cook over medium-low heat for another 2-3 minutes, stirring to coat all the beef.
  6. Serve over hot steamed rice and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
