Old Bay Buffalo Sauce Recipe
Making buffalo sauce at home is so easy, and fresh buffalo sauce is so much better when you toss it with hot wings! This recipe is simple, delicious, and utilizes a new favorite of mine, Old Bay Hot Sauce!
We make buffalo sauce all the time around here. Our Cholula and Bloody Mary Buffalo Sauce have gone over particularly well with our fans.
Know who loves this sauce most of all though? My 3rd son, Elijah. In fact, he made this sauce AND these wings. He’s 13, and awesome. That kid built his own PC last winter! Hi Elijah. 😉 Thanks for the recipe!

Old Bay Buffalo Sauce FAQ
Can you double this recipe?
Absolutely! Make a vat of this stuff if you want. It’ll keep in the fridge for quite a while. I’d go by the expiration date on the butter you use. The vinegar will likely help it keep longer than that, but using the most perishable ingredient as a guide is a pretty good rule of thumb.
Can you freeze this?
You sure can! If you DO make a vat and decide you probably won’t use it in time before it starts growing fur, freezing is a great option.
Can you use another kind of hot sauce to make buffalo sauce?
Yup! We’ve successfully used Frank’s, Cholula, Tapatio, and a few others as well. Just pick one you like on its own and chances are it’ll make a fantastic buffalo sauce.
