It comes together in just minutes and can be easily scaled up for a crowd.

Frozen Cape Codder – Ninja Slushi Recipe
This frozen cocktail is a fun update to the traditional Cape Codder, which uses cranberry juice, vodka, and lime.
I picked up a Ninja Slushi last fall, just in time for the weather to turn and for me to not really want to use it much in the gray, rainy, Washington winter. When spring hit this year, I’ve been firing it up for fun frozen drinks and cocktails and this is one of those counter appliances that really earned its spot in my kitchen.
It takes all the guesswork out of achieving the ideal slush consistency because it requires NO ICE. The Frozen Cocktail mode chills and blends the drink to a smooth, pourable texture.
This drink is especially convenient for parties. Mix the ingredients ahead of time and store in the fridge. When it’s time to serve, just pour into the machine and let it do the work. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge or wheel to give it a clean, finished look. It’s visually appealing, highly drinkable, and guaranteed to cool things down.
TIP FROM NICOLE: Grab your own Ninja SLUSHi here, and pick up this Stanley Pitcher to keep your drink frozen if you want to take some to share with your neighbors!

How To Make A Frozen Cape Codder With A Slushy Machine
We are using the Ninja SLUSHi machine for this recipe, but recently I’ve seen some other brands jumping into this market, so feel free to use what you have!
If you don’t have a slushy machine you can also do this with some ice + a blender. Get creative!
- Measure Ingredients – Pour 6 cups cranberry raspberry juice, 1 cup vodka, 1/2 cup Key lime juice, and 1/4 cup simple syrup (if using) into your Slushi machine.
- Start the Machine – Select “Frozen Cocktail” mode on your Ninja Slushi.
- Let It Run – Allow the machine to slush the mixture until it reaches a smooth, frozen consistency.
- Serve – Pour into chilled glasses.
- Garnish – Add a fresh slice of lime to each glass for a bright finish.

FAQ
How should I store leftovers?
Pour any extra into an airtight container and freeze. Stir or reblend before serving to restore texture.
Can I make this ahead of time?
Yes, mix all ingredients in advance and refrigerate. Just blend in the Slushi machine when ready to serve.
Are there any good substitutions?
You can use plain cranberry juice or a cranberry pomegranate blend. Fresh lime juice works if Key lime isn’t available. Gin or white rum also work well in place of vodka.
