Spiked Arnold Palmer

This boozy Spiked Arnold Palmer is made with my homemade sweet tea vodka, and is soon to be your new favorite nice-weather drink.

Spiked Arnold Palmer

Spiked Arnold Palmer

This is a drink that goes by many names. Some people call it the “John Daly”, since I guess he was known to have a problem with alcohol. We’re not going to go there because I don’t believe that addiction is a joke, so we’re also not going to call it the “Tiger Woods” either. I’ve also seen this referred to as a “Back Nine”.

The moral of the story is that evidently golfers like refreshing drinks, and that sometimes they get a little boozy with it. YOU don’t need to be on the golf course to enjoy one of these delicious cocktails, however.

Ingredients for a Boozy Arnold Palmer

An Arnold Palmer is just half lemonade and half iced tea. In this case, we used my homemade sweet tea vodka for the tea portion of things. I recommend you do too. If you don’t feel like making your own there are a lot of great pre-made options for you though.

If you order from Drizly you can get $5 off your first order!

Alternatively, you can also just add plain vodka to non-alcoholic iced tea and lemonade if you’d like. You can also try Peach Crown Royal for a peach tea kick in your pants.

How to make a Spiked Arnold Palmer

There’s no fancy equipment or materials needed for this cocktail. Not even a stir-stick, cocktail shaker, or special glass.

Unfussy, at its core, this is my ultimate summer cocktail. Especially if I’m in the South, or we’re having one of those rare Puget Sound heat waves that roll through for a few days of the summer.

This is also a good cocktail for bringing along with you boating or fisher, as you can premix it and then all you need is some ice and a good time.

If you want to get real fancy, throw a slice of lemon on the edge for good measure.
