Recently, I made these for a group of my co-workers while we were on a “guys weekend” at a cabin that one of them owns. I made a large tray, and they did not last long. In fact, they never had a chance. They nicknamed them “meat candy”. I said, “inappropriate”. We all had a good laugh and filled our mouths with more “meat candy”.

Now that I have a Traeger grill, I am constantly thinking of all of my favorite things I’ve enjoyed eating over the years, and how much better they’ll be if I make them on the Traeger. I’ve had these appetizers many times in my life and have always enjoyed them. I knew they were the perfect match for the Traeger, and I wasn’t disappointed. The added smoke flavor from the real wood fired pellets put them over the top.
