Blueberry Banana Green Smoothie
Are you still full of carby tukey awesomeness? We JUST finished up all of our leftovers on Wednesday night. That’s a lot of turkey, and potatoes, and stuffing, and gravy. Oh the gravy! YUM! As much as I LOVE the Thanksgiving holiday feasting, it leaves me feeling a little over-indulged, and ready to make some room in my diet for some other healthy options for some quick lunches and snacks.
This was the actually the 1st thing I made in my new Nutri Ninja, and I was so impressed by this machine. I’ve had blenders before, but they’ve been nothing like this. I didn’t have to shake it, stir it, stop it and restart it a million times. It just works.
This smoothie really filled me up, and the addition of the oats really helped make this an actual meal and not just a snack. I didn’t add any additional sweeteners to this, and thought it was perfect. Your tastes may vary. I suggest adding some honey or maple syrup if you are watching your refined white sugar intake, but if not? Go on ahead and dump a little in.

- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 handful baby spinach
- 1 large banana, chunked
- 1 cup vanilla greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup 2% milk
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- Place all ingredients in blender, and blend until completely pureed and incorporated. Drink immediately.
