Blueberry Banana Green Smoothie

Our Blueberry Banana Green Smoothie is one of my favorite ways to start the day. It is hearty, filling, and delicious, and usually, I have all of these ingredients hanging out around the house.

Historically I haven’t been all that much of a smoothie person. I’m more of a “frozen cocktail” or “milkshake” person if we’re being realsies. I’ll make an exception for this one, though.

This smoothie takes ingredients you most likely have in your fridge, pantry, or freezer right now, and turns them into something that is hearty, filling, but full of delicious and healthy fruits AND vegetables.

Plus, the blueberry color totally hides the green spinach, so you can probably get this past even the most stringent of veggie haters.

Easy breakfast smoothie with spinach and blueberry

This smoothie really filled me up, and the addition of the oats really helped make this an actual meal and not just a snack. I didn’t add any additional sweeteners to this recipe and thought it was perfect. Your tastes may vary. I suggest adding some honey or maple syrup if you are looking to increase the sweetness level a touch.

Thanks Meg! It sure it. I was pretty surprised how much I liked it. I have been biased against any smoothies with vegetables in them!
