I am not a shower games person. Diaper the baby doll, guess the belly measurement, unroll the toilet paper wrapped around somebody's stomach... none of it. If I have to sit through a game like that, I enjoy it a lot more with a drink in my hand, and this one has become my go-to for exactly that situation.

It doesn't taste boozy at all, which is either a selling point or a warning label depending on how many you plan on having. Berry Fanta does most of the work here. It's basically carbonated blue Kool-Aid, and it turns this punch a genuine, true blue without any additional food coloring.

You can make it by the pitcher for a crowd or scale it down to a single glass. Either way, it's an easy one to keep stocked at a party where people are going to want a refill.

• Berry Fanta: This is what gives the punch its color and most of its flavor. If you can't find it, a blue soda like blue Gatorade or blue Powerade will get you close, though the taste will be different.
• Light Rum: Bacardi or another light rum works well here. Coconut rum is a good swap if you want a little extra flavor.
• Triple Sec: Adds a light orange note and a bit more kick. You can leave it out and add more Fanta if you want a milder drink.

How To Make This Recipe

1. Chill Everything First - Keep the Fanta, rum, and triple sec cold before mixing. A colder punch needs less ice, which means less dilution. Chill the punch container too if it is metal or glass!
2. Combine - Stir the Berry Fanta, rum, and triple sec together in a pitcher or punch bowl.
3. Serve Over Ice - Pour into glasses filled with ice, or ladle straight from the punch bowl.
4. Garnish - Finish each glass with a twist of orange peel.

Put some scoops of sherbet in the mix for an even fluffier cocktail. Just keep the kids away. This doesn't taste like it has much alcohol in it. For garnish, a twist of orange would be amazing, but this girl completely neglected alllllll thoughts of garnish while I was at the store.
