Saltpepper, garlic powder, onion powder, seasoning salt - liberally applied
1medium yellow onionsliced
8-9medium sized crimini mushrooms - sliced
1/4 - 1/3cupbutter
1/4cupflour
1cupdry white winePinot Grigio
1cupwater
1/2cupItalian dressing
1/2tspbasildried
Instructions
Preheat oil in frying pan over medium-high heat. Preheat oven to 350.
Liberally season pork chops with seasonings (except basil). Brown both sides in hot frying pan. Remove to prepared baking dish when browned.
Add butter to pan and saute onions and mushrooms until lightly browned and the mushrooms have released their water and it has cooked off.
Sprinkle flour over onions and mushrooms and stir well. Cook 1-2 minutes over medium heat.
Add wine. Stir until slightly thickened. Add water and Italian dressing. Stir until combined and heat to a simmer. Add basil, and pour over pork chops.
Cover the baking dish with foil tightly and bake for 60-90 minutes, or until pork chops are fork tender.
