Crispy Buffalo Chicken Wrap

The only thing better than chicken wings with this homemade bloody mary buffalo sauce is a crispy buffalo chicken wrap. You are going to love how easy this is to throw together, and what a kick the homemade buffalo sauce adds.

You are going to need to try these for lunch sometime. I especially dug the thinly sliced celery sticks, and the chunky blue cheese dressing as well, but the real star of this lunchtime show was most certainly THE SAUCE.

I could eat that stuff for breakfast.

Or lunch.

Or whenever. I don’t care just please give me an extra size cause imma definitely need it.

After all. I have some catching up to do. I didn’t even LIKE buffalo sauce for approximately 35.5 years of my life, and that is way way WAY too many years to go without it.

Depending on how much time you have on your hands, this wrap would be a perfect candidate for these homemade chicken tenders. The breading on these would be an ideal way to transport this buffalo sauce into your face.

If your kids can handle a little heat, I’d encourage you to give these a try! If you don’t have the time to devote to frying your own tenders, you could certainly sub in frozen breaded chicken tenders of your favorite brand and variety.

My favorite is this panko breaded version that isn’t precooked (beyond quickly setting the breading) that they sell at Costco. Always a hit, and it always uses real chicken breast that stays moist even after you bake it.

Another thing I didn’t used to enjoy much back in my uber-picky days that somehow held over in my head?

CELERY

That’s one of those vegetables that I used to only like cooked, and REALLY cooked. Like in chicken noodle soup where the celery is the same approximate texture as the noodles.

Lately though I’m really beginning to appreciate a nice crunchy celery stick, and better yet if it is on the side of a big basket of spicy wings, or at the bottom of a seemingly endless crab cocktail ala one of my favorite restaurants, Harbor Lights in Tacoma, Washington.

PRO TIP:

You can lighten this up a bit by using grilled chicken breast instead of breaded, and by making this awesome Greek Yogurt Blue Cheese Dressing Recipe from my friends over at Show Me the Yummy!
