This little cocktail skyrocketed its way into my summer heart. It’s the perfect sipping drink to sit out on the porch and enjoy while you watch the munchkins run around in the sprinkler, or to just enjoy some sunshine and quiet.
Very Berry Summer Spritzer
This very berry summer spritzer is bursting with berries, with a splash of fizz and a twist of whatever fruits are fresh and available. Don’t have any fresh? Frozen berries are wonderful in this too, and help keep your drink cool!
I am soon to be off and running to Chicago for Eat Write Retreat 2015 – so stay tuned to all of my social channels for updates and photos from my adventure! I have never been away from my babies for this long before, and while I am super excited to dive into all things blogging and make some new friends, meet some new brands, and have a wonderful time – the anticipation! AGGGGHHHH!!!
More delicious drinks and cocktails for you are waiting!
Oh – and THEN. Yesterday. Oh. Yesterday. My friend stops by quick to drop a few things off, and we all make our way into the house.
Well, one of the boys doesn’t shut the door, or Amelia sneaks out because it wasn’t locked, and suddenly it is an “all hands on deck” search through the house, yard, and street for the missing 2 year old.
I was literally seconds away from calling 911, and we see her. The neighbor’s dog was barking and herding her back towards home. We live on a really quiet, dead end street in the country – but still. Totally terrifying.
I’m still a little shaken up. 5 kids, and that was the first time that one has actually wandered off successfully. Good grief. This parenting thing is not for the faint hearted.
After that, I kind of wished for one of these spritzers. Too bad I was out of ingredients!!
